garyg20 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Decent Deal I think it may have saved me $3 per MGM Grand website but regardless I love this hotel so its cool. Also i'm not real happy that HOTWIRE discloses AFTER i won that the hotel charges a resort fee of "about" $15 no matter where its booked. I think on MGM's site its $20 per room. :) not cool I was hoping to avoid this fee by booking through Hotwire but oh well.-Gary G-
AaronJB Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Glad to hear you're pleased with the hotel. Sorry to hear about the fees, although with HOTWIRE, if you go to the detail page for the listing, there is a box about halfway down that usually says that there will be a fee of "about xx" (it doesn't give the exact amount, but does indicate there will be a fee in that neighborhood.) HOTWIRE and PRICELINE customers do have to pay the same resort fees as regular rate customers, but are still getting a discount on the room. Can you confirm the amenity icons that were showing with this listing? Thanks.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
garyg20 Posted January 25, 2011 Author Report Posted January 25, 2011 Oh yeah, woops forgot to list that. Here are all the amenities:CasinoRestaurantFitness CenterSpaBusiness CenterPoolGolfI think these amenities are the same for a couple other 4* hotels in the South section. Thanks
garyg20 Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 FYI my hotwire purchase for the 4star MGM grand is not showing up on the calendar of wins. thanks
thereuare Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I see it... did you change the year to 2011? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
bat Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 If you read closely, HOTWIRE should show you the $15 resort fee before you buy. It's on there, but it's not totally obvious
