diesel Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Hi there,I am looking for a 4* hotel in either Boston Harbor Front, Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall or Copley Square. Would like to keep the cost below $120 if possible.Help with a bidding strategy would be much appreciated.
thereuare Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Based upon current prices at the moment, under $120 for a 4* looks like it may be a bit of a reach for these dates. We can suggest a strategy to follow, but if that is rejected would you wait it out and hope for lower prices in the weeks ahead, raise your budget or lower your star rating? I ask because i think the best deal at the moment is a 3.5* which could probably be had at or near your $120 limit.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. diesel Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Posted January 26, 2011 I would definitely be happy to lower the star rating to 3.5 star or even raise our bid higher & would also be happy to wait a little longer. Just given the higher prices for August, is it a particularly busy month of the year or is it likely that we would still be able to find accommodation closer to the time?

diesel Posted January 29, 2011 Author Report Posted January 29, 2011 I ended up lowering my star rating to 3.5 stars & won the Sheraton in the Copley Square area for $110 (20-22) and $147 (22-24). I'm very happy with this hotel. :)
