budenholzer Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 HiI would need some help with bidding on a hotel in Miami.Dates: 09-11/02Budget: $50-60+taxes/feesNo of rooms: 23*As I haven't been to Miami before, I really don't know anything about the zones there, but South Beach (Miami Beach) and Downtown would be preferred. Is Coral Gables too far from beaches? - I have seen other forum members getting nice deals there. As we plan renting a car I assume parking isn't always included in the Priceline deal and that can be pricey when bought separately?Thank you!
thereuare Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! If this is a 'beach vacation' i would recommend sticking with the Beach zones... those of South Beach (3 of them) and Miami Beach. If you're looking to do other things besides the beach then Downtown and/or Coral Gables might work too, but you should do a little research first as to what you'd like to do in the area and how that relates to the PRICELINE zones. However, the bigger issue i believe is going to be your budget, as $50-$60 just doesn't go too far in this area. I'd also be a little cautious of bidding 3* in the South Beach zone(s) as there are a fair number of 'small, independent, boutique' properties which can vary greatly in quality.Let us know once you're able to determine your plans and best zone locations and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
