KJack6 Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Hi,We are looking for a Hotel in Paris for 4 adults. Is it reasonable for us to share 1 room, or should we bid on 2?Are rooms in Paris as small as they are in Rome?Dates:May 28th-31stArea:Arron-1Arron-2Arron-6Arron-7Arron-8 (2nd choice)Arron-9 (1st choice)I have heard that transportation is very easy in Paris. If this is the case, we will be more flexible on location. We would like a 4* or higher. Our budget would be $150.00 if 1 room, $75.00 for 2.Thanks for the help,KJ
valencia Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Priceline only guarantees double occupancy so you MUST bid two rooms. Hotwire, on the other hand, will allow you to request hotels for 4 adults, but in Paris, precisely, I doubt there are many hotels that will come up on that search. The size of the room will depend on the hotel, but in general, European hotel rooms are NOT large and spacious, and the bathrooms follow the same suit. However, they are perfectly adequate in my opinion. If you do a search above for PARIS, you will be able to see all the winning bids that have been posted. Study up and see what you come up with.

Romelle Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 I looked at the past 5 or 6 months of Paris PRICELINE bidding results reported here. The very best 4* anyone has been able to achieve is $115. And that would be a room for 2, as valencia noted. Via HOTWIRE on your dates, best price 2-person room is $145 and best 4-person room is $195.I did exclude the airport hotels from this. They are often less expensive, and can sometimes serve well for a first or last night if one has a very late arrival or early departure. Paris is incredible and worth it, just very expensive. Romelle

KJack6 Posted February 13, 2011 Author Report Posted February 13, 2011 Thanks for the response,We are hoping for 1. 3-Champs Elysees2. OQE3. Eiffel Tower4. St GermainI am hoping to spend $150 at the most.Do you think that this is possible. Thanks,KJ
valencia Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 You can see the winning bids yourself and come to a conclusion. Put "paris" above in the search box and you will see what people have won at hotwire AND priceline.$75/ per room does not seem like it is going to get you what you want unless you go far away from the city itself. Try through the support link page here the Accor hotels. They sometimes have more reasonable rates.
thereuare Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 You meant $150 per room and bidding 2 rooms, correct?
