abcd1234 Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Hello,I have tried booking up to $93 for a 3* the Copley Square/Theater District + Quincy Market/Financial zones from April 8-12/2011 with no luck. My max budget is $110 a night, but I was hoping to spend around $75 or less per night. I am now open to staying in any zone that will provide walking distance to a subway stop, but still prefer something downtown as i may go out for drinks and want to avoid an expensive cab if the subway is closed. I am also willing to split my stay up and move hotels mid way, as I noticed someone else won the 3.5* Sheraton in Copley Sq. from 4/9/11-4/11/11 for $95.There is a large convention in town, at the Hynes convention center, thats why everything is so expensive or sold out. (I think)Please help me with a bidding strategy.Thank you!

LSU Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 It is also the home opener for the Red Sox against the Yankees that weekend.

abcd1234 Posted January 24, 2011 Author Report Posted January 24, 2011 The Hotwire hotel at $104 unfortunately has 1 bed, I need two sepearate beds. Do you think this hotel could provide an extra mattress on wheels? That could be ok, but I would explore other options first.I am willing to bid a little higher, I would like the whole thing done for under $475 taxes included for the 4 night stay.If this goes beyond that, I think I can bid on the Courtyard in Boston South and probably get it for around $75 according to other posts (i'm guessing, nothing reported for these specific dates though). It is $10-15 cab fare to the Hynes convention center and has a subway station nearby.Thank you
abcd1234 Posted January 24, 2011 Author Report Posted January 24, 2011 Ended up bidding $97 on Copley Sq and won without any rebids. Go the Sheraton Boston Hotel 3.5*. Happy with what I got, thanks!
