Hotwire Hotel: Newbie needs Help !!

I am very new to Hotwire, and all help is greatly apprecaited. We're coming over from London at the end of May.

I am trying to get the best price for 2 king rooms for 4 nights from 29 May in Manhattan, ideally in Midtown Central, Midtown East, Midtown South, or Times Square - Theatre District, in a 3/3.5/4/4.5 hotel. We are reasonably flexible with the hotel star rating, we'd just like to get the best value for money deal. The prices for these few days seems very high, and some hotels don't seem to have availability. Also, the rates per room seem to be higher if i try and book 2 rooms as oppose to one.

Any/all help duly appreciated.

Also, is easyclicktravel.com good? Is there a way of knowing which hotels they are describing when they show "EasyClickTravel exclusive"?

First, you can't select bed-type with Priceline or Hotwire... rooms will be assigned based upon availability, so that is the first concession that you'll have to be willing to accept.

As for EasyClickTravel, you can use our REVERSE LOOK-UP TOOL to try to determine some of the hotels.

Best deal i can currently find is The Beekman Tower where you can get a 1BR suite for $194/nite. The room has a queen bed as well as a pull-out sofa in the LR... but it provides you with a lot more space than the typical NYC hotel room (which are notoriously small). REVIEWS of the BEEKMAN are also excellent!

I would reserve the above as a back-up and then you can try to beat it using Priceline or some other service if you'd like (although remember you have to make concessions such as the bed configurations by doing so).

Let us know your thoughts on the above and we'll take it from there.
