niugrads Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Hi, I've just discovered Hotwire and need some assistance in trying to figure out a couple of hotels for 2/03/06 for 1 night. I'm looking for a San Juan hotel and Hotwire has a one that is 4* for $186 ammenities include: Beachfront, Casino, Restaurant(s), pool(s), spa services, tennis nearby and business center. In one of the customer reviews someone says there is a swim up bar and waterfalls. Could this be the Intercontinental? The 3* for $205 includes restaurant(s), pool(s), fitness center, high speed internet access, tennis nearby and business center. Any ideas what this could be? When Hotwire says the hotel is in San Juan, is it really or is it a city nearby? Also, how often are hotels changed? Thanks in advance for any help!
dekode Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 It *could* be the Wyndham El San JuanWyndhamVery well-appointed, close to the airport, but a fifteen minute car ride from the tourist area of Old San Juan. There were some other similar hotels within walking distance, including the Intercontinental.
thereuare Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 The 4* is most likely the Inter-Continental and that would be our best guess... it has previously been reported with those amenties and they do have a swim-up bar w/ a waterfall. This is higher rated and less expensive than the 3* so i don't think it's even worthwhile looking at that one.If you book the above let us know how it goes and please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
