Hemlock
Hello,First time poster here. I have also never used Priceline or Hotwire before. I am hoping to win Gaylord Palms for our May 2011 trip. I know that there are no guarantees (and no whining), but I am looking for any/all advice to increase my odds of getting this hotel. yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding :) If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.Link to reported Orlando Hotwire HotelsLet us know how you'd like to proceed so we can help you further.Yellowdog.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Hemlock
Looks to me as if I bid "resort" in the Disney Maingate - Celebration Area the chances are pretty good that it will either be the Gaylord Plams or the Omni. Is this correct or am I missing something? Link to comment

Is this correct or am I missing something?Did you see the HOTWIRE list of reported hotels? The GP is a 4* there. As Yellow Dog noted, it might be possible to identify it via the amenities offered (not 100%, but possibly better than the 50% or less odds of PL bidding). Romelle Link to comment
