SSPS Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 Using the PRICELINE link I starting bidding on a Downtown Ottawa 4* hotel at $75 for Jan. 21 occupancy. My initial bid was rejected and I was given the add $20 to m bid option which I rejected. Went back to my criteria page and added Ottawa West region at $81 knowing there are no 4*'s in the west, hence a free bid again downtown. Rejected. Added Hull region still with 4* so another free bid at $83. Rejected. Added Gloucester region still with only 4* criteria and won the Marriot Ottawa for $86 = $105 US with taxes/ fees. Same location/ hotel on Hotwire based on the board descriptions was $106 + fess = $126.60 USD. Hotel direct best rate was $149 CAD + taxes... so not bad...
