paneli Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Hi, I'm trying to book a room in Chelsea from Jan. 18th - 21st. Having read through this forum I thought that if I was unsuccessful, I could close the browser, click the link here, and go back and rebid. That didn't work for me, said I'd have to wait 24 hours. I have to admit that I bit only $58, although the front page said that $60 may make it.I realize my chances, by only selecting Chelsea is limited, but I was hoping to stay near some friends that live there. I'm going to try again in 24 hours and wondered if any one here has some ideas of the best bidding price to start at. If I don't make it, I will start selecting other areas 1 by 1. I also read about the star rating way - but seems too complicated for me!!Any advice, specialy on price would be great. Thanks to all who work this site, and for the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links :)pan

thereuare Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 It's not just closing the browser and using our links which enables you to bid again, in addition to this you also need to add a re-bid zone. At teh 3* level you have ONE re-bid zone, see this thread: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm you re-bid zone with the board.HOTWIRE has a 3* hotel in the Chelsea-MSG zone for $72/nite... it has not yet been identified but it has a very good 4.0/5.0 Tripadvisor rating and 95% recommended by previous HOTWIRE customers... would this work for your needs or do you prefer to try bidding again on PRICELINE?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.EDIT: please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
