Priceline Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Convention Center) Renaissance

I only live a few hours away from Vegas, so I go fairly often. Every time we go we try to stay at the Renaissance - it's wonderful to not have to walk through a casino to get to your room. Plus, we have a car so the trip over to the strip is no big deal. As far as I know, this is the only 4* in the Convention Center area, so we have a lot of control over selecting this hotel. We have won a room here for as little as $50 before. This time, because of the holiday, it was a little more tricky. I did the following:

Bid 50, rejected, added re-bid zone

Bid 53, rejected, added re-bid zone

Bid 58, rejected, added re-bid zone

Bid 61, rejected

Tried again the next day:

Bid 60, rejected, added re-bid zone

Bid 65, rejected, added re-bid zone

Bid 70, rejected

Tried again the day after (today):

Bid 70, accepted for Renaissance 4*

I'm not sure about the science behind how it worked the way it worked, but I booked the room today (1/14/11) for tomorrow. If you are a little adventurous, it may be worth waiting, especially over a holiday weekend.

And of course, as often as I remember, I use the PRICELINE link on Better Bidding!
