Hi there-

Very excited to learn abut better bidding, thanks! I bought my plane ticket and am nervous about bidding on a hotel but feel it might be my cheapest option or enable me the best deal for a quick weekend trip to Miami. I have been exploring Priceline's bid zones and the South Beach zone seems to be great and eliminate hotels that are far off the beach and include a good group of 3 and 4 star properties. I am going to Miami June 10-13th, there are 2 of us and ideally I would like to spend around $150 on a room per night. The only thing I really care about is a pool! Since Priceline does not show amenities what do you suggest I do? Do I take the chance and make a bid for a 3 or 4 star property, do you think $150 is a reasonable bid? Appreciate your help!

Thanks,

Cait

Welcome to BetterBidding!

It's really a question of how much a pool is a 'must have' vs. a 'want'... if you're willing to have the possibility of no pool then PRICELINE will likely get you a little better pricing than HOTWIRE... if a hotel with no pool would spoil your trip then i'd go with HOTWIRE and choose something well reviewed and with a Pool icon.

Let us know your thoughts and/or questions and which route you'd like to go... we'll advise accordingly.
