RFSD Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I am trying to book a 5* hotel in Vegas Strip South 1/22-24/2011. From what I have read there are two possibilities, Vdara and Aria, please confirm.Currently Hotwire shows one 5* hotel at $119 up from $106 a day ago. The amenities are:Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Spa Services Fee $~20Can someone please confirm that Smoke Free Rooms indicates Vdara? I would prefer it over the Aria.Last Friday, before I came across this message board I found a 5* hotel in Strip South for $90 amenities were the same but included a kitchenette icon, is is safe to assume that this was the Vdara as well? Is it possible that they change the amenities? Is there any risk in waiting until the middle of next week to book? Thanks in advance for your assistance, and yes I am using your links :)
RFSD Posted January 13, 2011 Author Report Posted January 13, 2011 I am looking to book a 5* Strip South see that people have great success booking a low rate for the Aria. I would prefer to stay at Vdara, has anyone booked it through PRICELINE?Thanks!
thereuare Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread... if you ultimately use PRICELINE we'll move this entire thread to that section of the board. The Vdara has not yet been reported to the board thru PRICELINE... you can see all the hotels reported to the board in the Priceline Hotel List... similarly you can view the HOTWIRE hotels in this Hotwire Hotel List. There are never any guarantees with the opaque providers, but the amenities above do match the Vdara so that would be my best guess for this one... we've never seen a 5* hotel in this zone with a Kitchenette reported to the board and as it's not appearing at the moment i'm unable to research it.The risk in waiting is that the price can go up and/or that this property disappears from the offered hotels. HOTWIRE only shows one hotel per star level in each zone (the hotel with the least expensive rate is the one shown) so this property could be replaced by a different one at any time. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
RFSD Posted January 13, 2011 Author Report Posted January 13, 2011 Sorry I thought I posted the second request in the Priceline forum. Thanks for the info, will let you know what we end up booking.
