hummer84 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I'm planning a trip to California in late Feb/early march (I'm from Toronto, Canada). I'll be in San Diego Mon Feb 28 to Wed Mar 2 and I was looking to stay at one of the Coronado resorts with my wife. I'm afraid by bidding on Priceline, I may end up with the Mariott resort while I've got my eyes on the Loews resort. I think the Del is slightly outside my price range. I am looking for a bay view room as well so i think its about 270/night on their website.Any advice for a newbie in this situation? Would bidding make any sense in this situation? Also, where can I get promo codes for this particular resort? Thanks
yellowdog Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Any advice for a newbie in this situation? Would bidding make any sense in this situation? No, PRICELINE is not the way to go for you. If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive. Please read this link: I've never used Priceline or Hotwire Link to reported San Diego Hotwire hotelsLet us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
