Was listed at $199 on Hotwire and cheapest I could find online was $319. Had low-balled this property a couple months ago (starting at $75 or so) but no winning bids up to $125 with re-bid system so was very surprised to win at $100 today on the first try. Have always been curious about this property. Have never stayed in Cancun (I prefer lowkey like Akumal or Tulum). Will be curious to see how this goes.

virginsoph Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 Really nice resort with great staff, great public spaces, great beach and great location. Will return with the kids next time. I read reviews on other sites that were disparaging of staff at this property. Not sure why. We were given a junior suite on the 11th floor with a panoramic view (and this without asking for anything special). The experience couldn't be beat for the price. Cancun was a bit of an armpit but if you stay inside the walls of the resort, you would never know it. Food at the resort was expensive but in line with expectations.
