Looking to book London for 1/28 to 1/30. Hotwire lists a 4* Westminster Hotel for $98/night. Features are Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center, and Highspeed and listed as recommended by 95%. Any help identifying the hotel would be much appreciated or suggestions on using Priceline vs. Hotwire for London (never used either).

Will use the links here when I book.

I used the HOTWIRE link to book and got the Riverbank Park Plaza (not the Victoria). Dates are 1/28 to 1/30. A little disappointed as I had the same hotel held as my provisional on hotels.ca for only around $10 more (and fully cancellable). Park Plaza Riverbank looks like a nice hotel but is a bit out of the way compared to the Park Plaza Victoria.

For reference the amenities it lists are High Speed, Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center.

Thanks for providing a great board to share this information!

Sorry to see you didn't receive the hotel you were hoping for and this location isn't as centrally located for your needs.

With the good underground and bus system hopefully this will work out just fine and you'll be able to make it work for your needs.

Thank you for using the HOTWIRE link on the board to begin your purchase and sharing your results, helping us add this property to the Hotwire Hotel List.

Enjoy your stay.

Just wanted post quickly on my trip to London. I stayed at the Park Plaza Victoria for the business part of my trip (booked through work) and then the Park Plaza Riverbank through Hotwire for the weekend. Thought I'd give a quick comparison for the two.

From a hotel perspective, I thought the Riverbank was a better hotel. The room was a bit more modern (room I had in Victoria felt a bit dated), and had a separate shower and bath. Both locations had reasonable sized rooms (small sitting area, desk, a queen bed). Service at both hotels was good (Riverbank through Hotwire had me in a 2 twin bed room originally but the desk changed that on check-in).

Location wise Park Plaza Victoria has a lot within walking distance (restaurants; Victoria tube station 2 blocks away; Buchinham Palace a 10 minute walk away, etc). Riverbank has a nice view on the southside of the Thames (you can see big ben from the hotel entrance; the room didn't face the Thames though rather the other wing of the hotel). For the Riverbank you pretty much need to take the Tube to get anywhere (there was a greasy spoon type of restaurant within walking distance which I tried for breakfast and a pub which I didn't try) - it is also around a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Tube (not bad but longer than Victoria station).

At both locations I had had quite rooms (Riverbank does have a train track right behind but my room wasn't facing it and never heard any noise). I also didn't feel service was any different by booking through Hotwire (took my airline reward card; when asked about getting a room with a view of the Thames, the riverbank offered to upgrade for 50 Pounds to a 2 room suite facing the Thames... didn't take up the offer).

Both locations have free wifi in the rooms and lobby.

Overall, happy with both locations and would be tough to recommend one over the other (Riverbank was ahead for the hotel and Victoria for the location). With hotwire you likely can't tell which one you'll get but you'll likely be happy with either.
