Priceline Hotel: Can I get a 5* on the Vegas strip for 1/22/11?

I used your link to go to PRICELINE where I bid on 5* for one night 1/22/11 and I chose both north and south strip. I went up to $125 and got rejected each time. ??? Am I doing something wrong?

It only let me bid 2 times and then all the prices for other hotels popped up and it said sorry not accepted. I added a location each time without changing stars

Unfortunately, if $125 is not being accepted, then there is no availability at that price point for the selected star rating/zones. What would be your desired max budget for this stay?

Start with the PRICELINE search box on the top right corner of the board... then if during your bidding you're turned down and presented with the 'retail' listings you can just click the GO button in the search box once again to have all your information filled-in.

Sometimes with a rejected bid PRICELINE will send you to the retail listings... they don't know if you intend to bid again or not, but they do know that you need a hotel room, so they present the retail options to you in hopes that you'll purchase one of those (ie- cross-marketing from their 'name your own price' to their 'retail' distribution)

I just won a priceline bid for 1/21-1/23 and the cheapest i could get is 150 for the Aria.

Try checking off Priceline and see what comes up.. I'm seeing THEHotel for $134 on Kayak, and I see What would likely be Vdara for $134 on HOTWIRE. Sometimes they aren't the best deals, or they just don't have any rooms for sale.
