dbrode1 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I see a few super deals here for just 2-5 days before the reservation. Do prices tend to go down with just a few days lead time?Thanks....
AaronJB Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 There is no set time for prices; if there is something going on during the time period or a particularly prime period of the year, prices can go up closer to the stay. Some people have gotten great deals by waiting, others have decided to wait, only to come back to find prices for their dates had skyrocketed. When your dates are set, it's best to start trying at that point, and keep a lower ceiling on your bids, then adjusting the ceiling over time, depending on how far out your trip is.Please provide a follow-up for your prior NYC thread. with what you decided to do for that stay.
