troonmaroon Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 LV - South3.5* Strip - South Amenities: Resort, Casino, Fitness Centre, Restaurants, Business Centre, Golf90% recommended from 40+ reviews4/5 tripadvisorAlso - I'm staying in Vegas for 5 nights (3/10 - 3/15). Found Vdara I believe for last two nights at $105 on HOTWIRE. Do people think it's worth booking that anyway and trying to sort the other three nights later on possibly elsewhere if they don't appear from Vdara? Complicated story but would quite like Monte Carlo or Caesars Palace for other three nights...Using the HOTWIRE links from on here for searching! :-)
AaronJB Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 My guess in this case would be the Tropicana. In terms of splitting the stay between two properties, it depends if you mind moving hotels (some people do, some don't) and what the prices look like if you split the stay - if the other nights not at the Vdara are more expensive when viewed separately. If you would like help with confirming the Vdara listing, please let us know the details of the listing (zone, star rating, amenities.)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
troonmaroon Posted January 13, 2011 Author Report Posted January 13, 2011 ok - next up is a 4.5 star Strip - NorthAmenities are:CasinoFitnessPoolsRestaurantsBusinessHigh speed internetgolftennisspaSo, on face of it looks like Caesars. However, it says only 65% recommend and that's based on 20+ reviews. Also states 4/5 tripadvisor but Caesars is 4.5/5 on tripadvisor...Any ideas?!
thereuare Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Even with the inconsistencies Caesars would be my best guess for this one... although the aspects you point out make me uncertain. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. troonmaroon Posted January 14, 2011 Author Report Posted January 14, 2011 Thanks! Not sure I want to risk it...I've another odd one:3.5* Strip-SouthResortCasinoFitnessRestaurantBusinessGolf90% recommended from 50+4/5 tripadvisor $10 resort feeAlso - from what I can see, all the best deals at the moment are for dates in Jan. I'm looking for rooms in March (10th - 15th) so should I expect to wait to get the better prices?ThanksTm
thereuare Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Nobody can say if rates will come down... or go higher... between now and your stay. However, rates are date specific and January is often a slow month in Vegas which is why you're seeing lower rates for January, not necessarily because the reservations are closer to current dates. The HOTWIRE property above is a match for the Tropicana so that would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
