What did you end up doing for this stay?

Well,I was not that confident to do it without help,so went the usual route.Booked Quality Inn for the nite.Like I said,NS room was my highest priority ,badly needed a good nite's sleep.

What is your general opinion about last minute booking?

Not sure what type of info you mean regarding last minute bookings, but if given the choice, i prefer to have time on my side. Gives me the opportunity to try bids at the low-end of the accepted range and feel no pressure to "get something" (which is when mistakes are usually made).

Nothing wrong with a last minute bid if the situation happens to arise, but i seldom see any reason to sit and wait on an upcoming stay.... as long as you don't overbid you've got nothing to lose.
