LSU Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Property appears to be perfectly situated in the heart of midtown. I'm happy with the win.
AaronJB Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Very nice to see this property coming up more often since it became associated with the Marriott chain, as it's got a very neat history and solid location. This is definitely a nice deal for this hotel.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
LSU Posted January 14, 2011 Author Report Posted January 14, 2011 Question:In New Orleans I quite often book a hotel room on Priceline the last 2 or 3 days of my stay when booking 3 or more days, and I'll book through the hotel the first day an "upgraded" room. They will put me in the upgraded room for the duration of the stay instead of putting me in one of their least desirable rooms. Have you or anybody had any success with this idea? It might costs an extra hundred bucks or so a stay, but well worth it over a 3-4 day stay. Thoughts for it happening in NYC especially during spring?
thereuare Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I think this strategy is hit or miss... and given the price difference, and lack of consistency in results, it's not a good risk/reward, imo.
