sdsgator Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Started bidding for resorts in the Marco Island detail area last week. Bid $100, 110, 120, 150, 160, 170 and 180. Rooms listed at $253 on priceline, $297 on Hilton site. After I bid $180 tonight, I got an option to resubmit the same star level/location if I upped my bid to $220. I called a friend going on the trip and had her bid $190. She got an offer to increase her bid to $235 so I went back and selected the priceline offer of $220 and got the Hilton. Still kind of a high price for a room but it's peak season at a beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach. The grand total is $753.39 for 3 nights.

sakimano Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 thanks for sharingwhat were the dates?
sdsgator Posted February 18, 2011 Author Report Posted February 18, 2011 :)The dates were Feb. 10-13, 2011. The Hilton was amazing. We were upgraded (for free) to a gulf view room. The staff at this hotel treat you like royalty. The room had two beds, a sleeper sofa, private balcony with view and a refrigerator. The pool and beach were wonderful. The spa was also amazing and the staff there was so helpful. There are several restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance to the hotel. There was even a good comedy show right across the street. I highly recommend the Hilton Marco Island.:)
