jackie577 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 I have never used Price Line or hot wire, but my ? would be, if I ask for all 4* hotels say on Price Line and it lists only 5 hotels in the area are 4* s If I chose to bid on a 4* am I guaranteed it is one of the 4* listed in the only 5 hotels listed as 4* on Key West. And what would be an appropriate bid for one of these rooms, 1/2? Thanks!!
yellowdog Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding :) The short answer is no :) You have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) you select. New hotel are added all the time and star ratings also change frequently. If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.Let us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.PS. Read this link: I've never used Priceline or Hotwire
