thereuare Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 This property has not yet been reported to the board but my guess would be the La Quinta LAX... although i wouldn't exclude the Travelodge LAX or the Days Inn from the possibilities either. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
munchkinmom Posted January 8, 2011 Author Report Posted January 8, 2011 I just booked it and it's the La Quinta Inn And Suites LAX. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Solid deal for this LAX property, and thank you for letting us know about this new HOTWIRE property so that we can update the site's Hotwire Hotel List for the state. Can you confirm the price paid (before taxes/fees) per night so that we can update the site's Calendar of Wins? Thanks.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
munchkinmom Posted January 9, 2011 Author Report Posted January 9, 2011 It was $59 per night before taxes and after taxes and fees it was $140.45 for 2 rooms and two nights. Thanks!
Rickspence Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 I just checked it out on the Web. You can book a double-double room at La Quinta LAX in March for $64.28 (AAA rate). Is Hotwire getting less competitive or are rack rates getting more competitive?
AaronJB Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 May be a matter of different rates/different dates, or a matter of the discount "floor" for a particular property being not far from regular rate for a slow date or any number of issues. Overall though, rates on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE vary - sometimes significantly - from day-to-day/month-to-month.
