Eric26 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Hi, I'm planning to go in New York 4/8/2011 to 4/10/2011. Hotwire is offering a 3 1/2 * MTE property with: Fitness center, restaurant, business center ans high-speed Internet at 159$. Can you help me to identify this property? There's also a 4* (ESB) at 163$ with just one amnitie: High-speed Internet. Do you have a guess?I'm really hesitating between these two choices...Your help will be very appreciated! Thanks!
Eric26 Posted January 7, 2011 Author Report Posted January 7, 2011 Oops, I've just seen a previous post about the 4* (ESB) with only the Internet...Since it's highly recommended by tripadvisor and hotwire's customers, I think it'a a good choice...I have to wait 3 weeks before booking (due to work obligations) so I hope this deal or another at about the same price for a 4* will be available for april the 8th...Do you think this is possible? Thanks!

thereuare Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Breakfast: You're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.Lunch/nonthing fancy dinner:Jackson Hole Wyoming (stick with the HUGE burgers... other menu items just 'ok' and not worth a special trip here):521 3rd Avenue (Third Ave at 35th St)New York, NY 10016 --> easy trip south on the 6 trainYour 6 year old might like: Dylan's Candy Bar1011 3rd Avenue (Third Ave at 60th St)New York, NY 10021--> owned by Ralph Lauren's Daughter, DylanNot necessarily that close but solid pizza in a nice sit-down setting and not too cramped like most NYC restaurants:Johns Pizza260 W 44th St (between Seventh and Eight Avenues)If you like spicy food join the other NYers and wait online for the on the SouthWest Corner of 53rd St and Sixth Ave after 8pm... load up on the white sauce and use the hot sauce VERY sparingly. Roserise Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 HI, Eric,How much does it cost with "taxes"?
thereuare Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Roserise,NYC hotel tax is ~14.5%. Booking fees are going to differ for this 2 nite stay then for the multi-nite stay you're seeking, but you can always see the total amount by going to PRICELINE, entering the city and any date range you'd like, then enter the bid price you're interested in... on the next page (before you enter any credit card information) there is a 'review the information' page and PRICELINE shows you the total amount of your purchase should your bid be accepted. If you have further questions in this regard please continue your current priceline NYC thread. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Eric26 Posted February 17, 2011 Author Report Posted February 17, 2011 I should have write Roserise...not Roseline. My mystake...Sorry!
