Liz T Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Started with Disnyeland-anaheim for 36, rejected, added garden grove at 37 and got this hotel. I have to say I am a bit dissapointed in my transaction thus far. I knew I was going to get this hotel based on everyon else's bids, and I called ahead of time about one of my rooms being handicap. The gentleman I spoke to said as long as the rooms were open when we made our reservation, if I called right after, they would give us one. Sure enough I checked before placing my bid, and they said they had 7 open rooms. Booked my reservation and then called and was told that I had to wait until 2 days before our arrival date to call and if there were STILL rooms available then we could have one. AND I had read that their ridiculous "resort" fee included shuttle service, which I am finding out on Trip Advisor it does not. So i'm not sure what I will be paying for with that! I'm going to try and call again and speak to someone else about the handicap room. If they still refuse to accomodate, I will file a complaint with the ADA department.Other than that, still a decent price even with the 10.00 resort fee.Booked using your PRICELINE link!
thereuare Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Sorry to hear you're getting a bit of the run-around...My guess is that your recent contact with the hotel was a new(er) employee who may have only given the canned response for guests who booked thru 3rd party websites making room request. From PRICELINE's help section:If you have special needs (e.g., wheelchair accessible room) you must call the hotel and verify that special needs can be met. Most hotels will be glad to accommodate you if rooms are available. Your hotel reservation will be refunded, canceled or modified if the particular hotel cannot meet special needs.Call tomorrow and speak with somebody else... if you have a problem email PRICELINE and i'm sure they'll act on your behalf.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.Let us know how the room request situation ends up.Enjoy your stay.
