moersie Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I was trying to figure out what hotel this may be. Dates of travel are 3/12/11-3/16/11. Rate is $146.Amenities are: Boutique Hotel Smoke free Fitness center Restaurant Business Center Internet SpaAlso, we are traveling with one child which I put in the request so would we get a double room? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This would be a match for the amenity set previously reported with the Lorien, so that would be my guess. If you enter three people in the party, you will be ensured of bedding for three; while this is commonly 2 beds, it may be 1 + sofabed or other combination. There is no way to select exact bedding through the service, aside from listings that occasionally appear that offer bed choice. I would call the hotel after booking and put in a request for two beds. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
moersie Posted January 6, 2011 Author Report Posted January 6, 2011 Well I missed the 4* in Alexandria as it is no longer showing up. This hotel, Dupont/Embassy Row, is being offered for 202 per night 3/12-3/16/2011.4* Dupont Circle-Embassy RowAmenities include: Fitness Center, pool(s), Restaurant, Business center, and high speed internet. The satisfaction rating is 95% with 4.5 out of 5 on trip advisor. What would your prediction be?Also, is there a better time to choose like the weekend or closer to travel time or should I get the best deal now because March is a busy time? Thank you.
thereuare Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. The amenities and ratings above match both the Hotel Palomar and the Omni Shoreham, so either of these would be my best guess for this one. There is no 'best time' to purchase your hotel... it all depends upon supply/demand and how bookings come in relative to expectations. For more info see the related 'bid early or close to check-in' link in our PRICELINE FAQ.Also consider that this property is very highly rated (4.5/5.0 TA rating) and besides the risk of the price going up or down, there is also the risk that this property disappears from the offerings entirely and is replaced with this something that may not be as well reviewed. I'm not saying yous should/shouldn't grab this, but if a HOTWIRE is offering is a significant discount and works for your needs then it may be best to take it while offered... similarly if a HOTWIRE property only offers a small savings, it's often best to book a refundable back-up and take your chances. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
