Gatormantann Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 I was actually trying to book a 3.5* for the first time as my friend wanted to stay at the Marriott Solana if at all possible. I bid $50 on my first try and it was accepted but it upgraded me to the 4* Marriott Champions Circle. I have not seen this happen before but it is the first time I went for anything below a 4* so maybe it is common. 4 nights at $50 = $200 room + $39.52 Tax for a toal of $239.52. Her conference rate at the 3.5* was $99 per night so she saved over 50%.
