mihu Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 I am thinking to book 5* hotels around strip What's my change to request two beds w/o extra charge? Anyone got experience? Could someone please let me know?
thereuare Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages.Getting two beds without an extra charge in Vegas can be hit or miss... consider it your first bet of the Vegas vacation :) Users have reported both being charged and not being charged. If separate beds is a must then i would use HOTWIRE and search HOTWIRE for quad occupancy, but note that this could still mean one bed + a pullout sofa (if this would still work for your needs)Your thoughts? mihu Posted January 5, 2011 Author Report Posted January 5, 2011 hmm ... total of us are 3 people. By using Hotwire, we down to very limited option, and that's why I was thinking to use Priceline instead.I plan to go 1st week of Feb (weekday). budget wise ... lower is better (or below $150). =D
AaronJB Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 There have been some reports of users being charged as much as $50 for an upgrade to two beds, or the hotel may be willing to work with you. If you use PRICELINE, you would then contact the hotel after the purchase and try to work something out. However, with HOTWIRE you can indicate the amount of people in the room.Which zones are you interested in staying in/star rating? Are there any listings on HOTWIRE close to what you are looking for?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
mihu Posted January 6, 2011 Author Report Posted January 6, 2011 I found one with $184 @ HOTWIRE resort, suite, casino, fitness center, pools, restaurants, business center, high-speed internet access, golf nearby, tennis nearby, spa service. It looks like Venetian to me ... but this one shows suite ... still struggle should i gamble with PRICELINE...

mihu Posted January 9, 2011 Author Report Posted January 9, 2011 For which nite is the hotel above appearing? Are you heading to Vegas both of these nites, are your plans flexible and you can go either nite, or are your plans not yet firm and you're not yet sure which dates you'll be available to take this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.I am planing to stay in Vegas on 1/31 or 2/2. It's going to be 1 night, and which date does not matter. Whatever could give me a better deal, I will go with that date. At least that's my plan. I did a search on hotwire for 2 br/ 4 ppl in totalon 1/31, I saw "Las Vegas Strip - North area hotel" 5 stars for $103- Casino - Fitness Center- Pool(s) - Restaurant(s) - Business Center - High-speed Internet Access - Golf Nearby - Tennis Nearby - Spa Services on 2/2, I saw "Las Vegas Strip - North area hotel" 5 start for $99exactly same as 1/31 .. I assume this is the same one. Base on the list, it looks like "5* Venetian"Does this one charge for asking double beds? or Is it even possible to ask for double beds? Thanks,
AaronJB Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 My guess in this case would be the Wynn or Venetian. You can call after purchase to request two beds, but it is up to the hotel and they may say yes/no, or require an upgrade fee to upgrade to a room w/2 beds.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
