Stellar Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 This is the first time I've had a bid accepted on Priceline. I'm going to the LA area to see a few hockey games. I used the site's PRICELINE link before each new search.Here's the bid history:$38, 3* -- rejected$40, 3* -- rejected$43, 3* -- rejected$45, 3* -- rejected$48, 3* -- rejected$50, 3* -- rejected$53, 4* -- rejected$53, 3.5* -- acceptedI added a few other zones on some occasions to get re-bids sooner, but I was careful to pick higher-priced zones to avoid getting stuck there.
thereuare Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you have your have achieved your first PRICELINE win and that you're happy with the results.Be careful using zones which you suspect would be higher priced as re-bid zones as you may one day be surprised at just how low an offer in one of these other zones may be accepted. I'd suggest only using 'true' re-bid zones as defined in this Priceline Re-Bidding Explained thread... feel free to ask any questions you may have and/or confirm your re-bid zones before bidding for your next hotel stay. Glad it all worked out well this time around.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay... and the hockey games!
