thehabs25 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Hi, I'm looking to get a deal for hotel on the strip. Preferably something 4* and up. I need two rooms as there are 6 of us going. Is it best to bid for two or separate the bids? Thanks,Jorge
AaronJB Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Do you need two beds in each room? PRICELINE only guarantees one bed per room, and some Vegas properties have charged for upgrading to a room with two beds in the past. If you do need more than one bed, HOTWIRE - where you can search for 3 - may be a better bet.Otherwise, which zones are you interested in and what would be your desired budget per night/per room?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thehabs25 Posted January 4, 2011 Author Report Posted January 4, 2011 we might need two beds in just one. there is going to be 5 guys now. we don't mind bunking up two per bed :)
thereuare Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 What is your maximum budget (per nite before taxes and fees) for this stay? Are you ok with something like the Westin which is within PRICELINE's strip zone but slightly off the strip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thehabs25 Posted January 5, 2011 Author Report Posted January 5, 2011 We would prefer to stay on the strip. As for our budget. I'm hoping to find something that is going to cost us around $100 a night if possible. Something like planet hollywood would be preferable.
thereuare Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 We would prefer to stay on the strip. This may be your preference, but is the Westin not acceptable? (as it will limit the zones and booking service used)Please confirm. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 we might need two beds in just one. there is going to be 5 guys now. we don't mind bunking up two per bed :)You could receive rooms with only one bed each... making you three in one bed (or 2 and one on the floor)Given you don't want the Westin... PRICELINE bidding in the Strip South zone isn't going to be an option. You could still bid for a 4* hotel in the North Strip, but i'd be a bit surprised if you would be able to land anything at $100 or under. As well, HOTWIRE will enable you search for the entire strip zone(s), but doing a current HOTWIRE search for your dates, everything offered on the strip at the 4* or higher level is $150+. (this is the opening weekend of the NCAA tournament)Are you flexible in regarding to zone, budget or star rating? thehabs25 Posted January 6, 2011 Author Report Posted January 6, 2011 What are some possible hotels that we could get with 3 or 3.5*?
Romelle Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 The very first post in this Priceline-Nevada area has a list of hotels other people have reported as wins. New hotels can happen, but this will at least give you a good general idea. Another way to get a general idea is to look at the retail side of PRICELINE. There can be different hotels in both the retail and the bidding side, but still it is a general idea.Romelle
thehabs25 Posted January 18, 2011 Author Report Posted January 18, 2011 I was able to book a couple suits in mgm signature directly with the hotel for now. Thanks for the help. This can be closed.
