gothamgator78 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Looking for help with a bidding strategy for a 4* hotel on Ft. Lauderdale Beach for the nights of Jan 8 and 9. My max is $130/night (though of course, lesser would be better :)I'm also open to Hollywood, but the priority is a place on the beach. I noticed people seem to be getting the Westin Diplomat at a great price, which would definitely work for me, but I'm not sure if there are other 4*'s in Hollywood away from the beach that I might end up with instead if I include Hollywood in a search. Any thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated.
thereuare Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 You can use the Priceline Hotel List to see all the hotels which have been reported to the board in each of these areas. The lists can't ever be considered finite (since new hotels are added all the time and hotels can be upgraded/downgraded) but that should at least give you a feel for what may be likely. Is this for a one nite stay or two? Do you need to be directly on the beach or would 'access' to the beach be acceptable as well? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. gothamgator78 Posted January 3, 2011 Author Report Posted January 3, 2011 Thanks... yes, I ended up looking at the reported hotel list after I posted and noticed that all of the 4* hotels reported in Hollywood were on or very near to the beach, so I'm thinking this may be a chance worth taking. I am looking for 2 nights, and yes, I'm thinking beach access would be acceptable as well if that generally means it's walkable...
