blackandyellow Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Hello, I'm interested in booking a 5 star hotel through PRICELINE or HOTWIRE for the dates 1/21 - 1/24. My budget is $150 a night, although I'd love if I could get it at around $100 a night. Any advice on how to bid would be appreciated.
thereuare Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Under your $150 budget shouldn't be an issue... i'm assuming you don't want the North Strip Condo zone and only want to bid the Strip North zone? If so i'd bid as follows:At the 5* level in Vegas you have TWELVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip North...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $118, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $123, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $128, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $133Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. blackandyellow Posted January 3, 2011 Author Report Posted January 3, 2011 Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I'd prefer the north strip over the north strip condo so I plan on only bidding on the strip north zone. I used the HOTWIRE link for my search on hotwire and i'm curious to what this hotel is. It's going for $175 a night and is recommended by 95%.5-star hotel in Las Vegas Strip - NorthThis hotel features the following amenities:ResortSuiteCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesI still plan on testing PRICELINE out and will start my bids once i get a response to what hotel this HOTWIRE one is. Thanks for your help
thereuare Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 If you intend to try PRICELINE first why not give the bidding strategy a try, then if rejected pursue this HOTWIRE hotel... but isn't this HOTWIRE offering more than you're willing to spend? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
