nuprin Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 My first bid of $48 for a 3.5* in the Disneyland-Anaheim area was quickly rejected. I then added Disneyland - Orange - Garden Grove for $50 (same star rating) and received the Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/Orange County. I was hoping for the Crowne Plaza Anaheim as I successfully bid for $50/night (PRICELINE) in June, 2010 and it turned out to be a nice hotel with a good Disneyland shuttle and easy walking distance to restaurants and a Target. I'd definitely stay there again. After some sleuthing, it looks as if the Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/Orange County has a man-off-the-street rate of $84 (as of 12/28/2010) vs. the Crowne Plaza Anaheim of $102 (using their respective websites). I'm curious if I could have used this information to optimize my bid. When i won the Crowne Plaza back in June, their non-PRICELINE rate was in the $80 range. Thanks to the posters, this is a helpful board.
