audioslavery Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Hi there, long time browser, first time poster here. I am flying up from SD to SF for a 'romantic' getaway of sorts, looking for a good area to stay that is not seedy and central to the tourist attractions. I am assuming that USW and USE are best. It is MLK weekend so I'm not sure how busy the hotels are going to be. So far I have bid in a number of rebid zones for both USE and USW up to $90 a night to no avail. I'm debating between going down to a 3.5* or changing to a different area (fishermans wharf? embarcadero?). Or should I just be patient and play it out? Many Thanks!
thereuare Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Welcome (officially) to BetterBidding! If you've purchased on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE in the past it would be appreciated if you began to share your wins with the board so that the information can be helpful to others, just as the wins posted by others have been helpful to you.The Embarcadero and Fisherman Wharf zones look a bit cheaper than the USE and USW zones so if you wanted to add those i suspect you may have a win at $100 or under, but will also add that the InterContinental Mark Hopkins (please use this link) is available for $125/nite... you'll know exactly what you're getting and the location, should this work for your needs. If not, it's really a matter of preference and your needs for this stay whether you want to increase your maximum bid a bit higher, add other nearby zones or lower your star rating for the previously bid zones.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and how we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. (or our InterContinental Mark Hopkins link if you decide to go that route) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
