Hello,

Looking for advice on how to bid for a 3.5 or 4 star hotel near the typical tourist sites for 3/31/11 to 4/5/11. My alternative is to go with a vacation rental by owner for about $150/night. Do you think I can find a hotel for less than that? We do not plan to have a car.

Thanks!

The most frequently bid zones are:

Convention Ctr - Capitol Hill

Dupont Circle - Woodley Park

White House - Downtown

Assuming these are all acceptable i think you should be about to get a 3.5* or 4* for about $150 +/- a few dollars, so it will come down to what type of experience you're seeking for this stay... a hotel or condo.

If you want to pursue the hotel option let us know regarding the zone(s) above and if you want to first try up to your limit for a 4* property, then if rejected try for a 3.5*... or if your goal is the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay; we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.
