Priceline Hotel: 2.5* Harrisburg-York (Harrisburg) Best Western Inn and Suites

I was happy to receive a winning bid that placed me and my family at the Best Western Airport Hotel and Suites, Hershey/Harrisburg, PA on December 18, 2010 for $35.00. That was until I had been in the room for a few minutes...pulled back the comforter to find a stage 4, bed bug crawling across the comforter. Caught the bug and brought it down to the front desk. I asked the front desk if there were any other reports of bed bugs in their hotel. They claimed this was the first, moved me to another room and several hours later, my kids sound asleep... I spotted two more bed bugs crawling across the top of their headboard. I then found several other posts on the internet who also reported bed bugs at this hotel. Clearly they had lied to me, it was now midnight and I had no where to go, not to mention our luggage probably had already been compromised. Stayed awake the whole night, reported second incident to night management, and asked that a supervisor call me as soon as he arrived Monday morning. Still no call, no compensation for dry cleaning, replacement luggage costs and no reimbursement for room. Keep in mind the real costs of having to rid bed bugs from your home...it can be thousands! Stay away from this hotel and bidding in this area if this hotel is a possibility.
