This property used to get somewhat mixed reviews but the rooms have begun to get renovated and the reviews have greatly improved lately... at check-in try to develop a connection with the front desk clerk and request one of the renovated rooms.

The lowest rate on the hotel website is $199 plus tax so I feel like I got a great deal especially since it is New Years weekend and Sugarbowl in New Orleans that weekend :-)
