Priceline Hotel: 4* Nashville (Downtown-Vanderbilt University) Marriott Vanderbilt

Seeing a 3.5* on HW, amenities are: Fitness, restaurant, business center. Recommended in 95% of HW cust reviews. I think I read somewhere that the Indigo is now back to a 3*, and this doesn't exactly match the Marriott. Any ideas?

More info - rather odd ...

Dates of travel are 12/28-12/29 (next week). I don't think it's the Marriott Vandy .. if this Hotwire 3.5* for $60/night is the Marriott Vandy, on PL, the Marriott Vandy is a 4*. I had bid on PL all the way up to $76 with no success - my assumption is that if HW has it for $60, then most certainly PL would have accepted my bid at the Marriott for that amount.

So according to the our betterbidding list of 3.5* hotels in that area ...

1) Embassy Suites - amenities aren't even close;

2) Holiday Inn Select - amenities don't line up either;

3) Hotel Indigo - amenities are closer ... but from recent posts this has been reported recently as a 3*;

4) Marriott Vandy - for the PL reason above, doesn't look like it.

Any ideas from locals or those that have traveled the area?

Unfortunately, this listing hasn't yet been ID'd/reported to the board. It may be a previously unreported property or a previously reported property with a new amenity set.

If you search for 2 adults/2 children, the 3.5* in the same zone has an amenity set of Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business, Tennis, Laundry, which would be a match for the Holiday Inn Select.

It's showing at the same price/% recommendation, as well - so there is the possibility that the fitness/restaurant/business showing when only searching for 2 is the Holiday Inn Select hiding some amenities.

Well, I never got to find out, unfortunately - so won't be able to solve this puzzle. Already posted on the PL side, but I bid and won a 4* at the Marriott Vandy. Thanks for the response!

Looking forward to staying here - I've stayed at the Loew's before - can anyone tell me from experience, how the Marriott Vandy compares with the Loew's??
