Won on 2 rooms in Downtown, $85@ with taxes/fees = $17.21 per room, bidding the day before 12/2/2010.

Posting this after our stay, which was to attend a program at Ithaca College, and I can't remember details on how I bid (sorry) but I was happy with the win, as this hotel regularly books for twice this price.

If there is an event going on in town or at one of the 2 colleges, especially a parent weekend, this hotel will sell out, as will most hotels nearby, we've learned. Booking early in a college town is often prudent, and reservations for graduation times may need to be made a year in advance if you want to stay anywhere in town. But we weren't worried about where we ended up, and this wasn't a big event weekend, so we decided to try PRICELINE.

Had no problems with the front desk on check-in, and they accommodated our request to get adjacent rooms with 2 queen beds in each, and our rooms were in the main section of the hotel. (This Holiday Inn has an older ground-floor section, that is described as a "motel" and is not as nice; plus the hotel has had some really negative reviews on Tripadvisor, so we were worried we'd get a "bad" room, due to the discounted price, but our rooms were up-to-date & clean.) Parking lot was tight, & we hear it often fills up, but we found spaces around the corner section.
