Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Tampa (Airport West) Doubletree Guest Suites

Won at $65. + 12.46 taxes/fees , per room, bidding at 6 pm on Dec. 25, 2010. Booked 2 rooms for myself and friends staying 1 night pre-cruise at this all suite hotel overlooking Tampa Bay.

First tried a $55. bid just on (Tampa Downtown) at 3.5 stars, and lost (saw a recent win posted for $50. re: Downtown Hyatt)

Won on 2nd bid adding (Airport West) to (Tampa Downtown), raising bid to $65. and staying at 3.5 stars.

I'm happy with this price & location (best price today on the web for this hotel =$102.) and they have a free shuttle from airport, and to the Port. If I'd known I'd get a DoubleTree Suites, I might have only bid on 1 room, as the four of us could have shared a suite for 1 night, but oh well. I didn't want to try bidding one room at a time, as we wanted to stay at the same hotel, and it wasn't worth risking that we might get split up.
