Napa Area Hotel (11 - 17.2 miles from city center) 4* on Hotwire. Available 1/16/11-1/18/11 for $113.

Amenities listed:

Smokefree rooms, Fitness center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Highspeed Internet.

*Also mentions a resort fee and reports it is recommended in 85% of user reviews. Any ideas?

When following-up your threads it's more helpful to others if you mention what you did do for the stay (even if what you did is cancel the trip) rather then simply mentioning that you didn't book the HOTWIRE offered originally asked about.

The amenities for the property above are common for a 4* hotel, but the Meritage has previously been seen with this amenity combination so that would be my best guess for this one (although given the common-ness of the amenities i'm not 100% certain)

I'll also point out that for another $10/nite you could book the generally well reviewed Vino Bello for $126/nite and know exactly what you're getting... you can get this non-opaque offering to appear by changing your search from 2adults/0children to 2adults/2children.

Great feedback. With the uncertainty, I am going to hold off for now and reconsider. I will give the Vino Bello more thought and will reply below with details if I pursue it.
