Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip North Condo) Trump

Hi you all,

First time here..We are trying to plan our honeymoon and im considering using HOTWIRE.

We are planning to stay in vegas from May 12-May 16 and we are intresting in 5* hotels only.

The search I made shows only one 5* hotel (with casino) for a very high rate (224$)

(The hotel was in Las Vegas Strip - North area Hote, 90% recommended)

I found another 5* hotel (without casino) in Las Vegas Strip - North area Condo for 114$

amenties are:Spa,Resort,Studio,Smoke free,Fitness center,Pool(s),Restaurant(s),High speed internet, Kitchenette,Condo, Recommended 90%

Could it be the Trump?

should i wait few months and check again? What do you recommend?

By the way, The price for the Trump for this dates are also 114$...

and for the bellagio (for example) around 240$..

Hi,

We changed our dates to 15-18 may.

Our budget is around 130$/nite but for the 5* like venesian or equal hotels we are willing to strech up a little bit.. But now I cant see any of those hotels in the list-all above 198$

I see the hotel that i mention above for 96$, but he is on the strip so what it can be if its not the Trump?

I also see a 4.5* in the Las Vegas Strip - North area hotel , 100% recommended,amenities:

Casino

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-speed Internet Access

Golf Nearby

Tennis Nearby

My guess for the 5* Condo property is the Trump, but this zone (as per the shaded boundaries of the zone) extend a little beyond the strip itself, so i was making sure that you were aware of this if you were looking for a 'directly on strip' location.

The 4.5* is a match for Caesars so that would be my best guess for that one.

I'll add that i am also seeing what i believe to be the Vdara for $99/nite if this is of any interest.

I guess i will try HOTWIRE again in few months cus i see that the prices are the same as for booking in a "regular" sites (such as the Expedia..)

For example- I saw the Trump for 93$/nite ans the Caesers for 132$/nite..

I will be glad to hear what do peaple think about booking close to my dates

It's still very early before your stay, but i would book a fully refundable reservation just to protect yourself from rates rising instead of going down.

No interest in the Vdara?

Vdara currently sounds the best option, maybe i will book it if HOTWIRE provides a refundable room..

All reservations thru PRICELINE and HOTWIRE are non-refundable, so you can't try for the Vdara and use that as a back-up.

Planet Hollywood Towers has been won thru HOTWIRE in the past, but it doesn't appear to be currently offered for your dates. HOTWIRE only shows one hotel in the zone at each star level (the hotel with the lowest price is the one offered) and there is now way to 'make' a specific property be offered. As well, the 4.5* Condo offered in the South Strip zone (the star rating and zone of the PH Towers) is priced at over $200/nite, which is a bit more than you're looking to spend.

I think I will book a refundable hotel via one of the "regular" sites and wait few month to come back and search HOTWIRE deals for may.

Hi!

Final dates (after booking the flight) are 14-17 May (3nights)

We want the trump but now HOTWIRE shows 135$ for the 05/14 and 96$ for the 05/15-17

The rates in HOTWIRE are equal to retail rates so I think I will try PRICELINE for that trip.

We want the Trump or other 5* in the north strip and planning to be there on 05/14-17 (3 nights)

Do you thonk I should seperate the night of the 14 (saturday) fron the midweek nights?

I used the PRICELINE link here to check - the Median for the 14 is 272$ and for the 15+16 is 259$

The retail price for that property is 135$(saturday) and 93$(midweek) so I think our max budget should be 80$..

Should I wait any longer? This is very busy time in LV, am I right?

Hey..

I couln't wait so I start to bid fot the trump for the midweek days (05/15-17) and won for 80$!!can I change a topic subject? to add those details?

I started the bids from 75$ and went up using the re-bid zones..During the biddig I got several counteroffers for 90$-97$..

After i won they suggest to add another night for 125$ on saturday..I decided to reject that and try again to bid seperatly on saturday (is that a problem?

Final Q-what should I do next after winning? Do I need to call the hotelor something?...

No need to call the hotel unless you have a special request or something like that or if you'll be arriving very late at nite (say after 11pm or so)

No problem bidding separately for the Saturday nite other than you could potentially receive a different hotel, but i think if you continue to bid for a 5* in the North Strip CONDO zone your chances of receiving a different hotel are somewhat low.

How high are you willing to bid for the Saturday nite... or are you looking to stay in a different property/zone for this nite of your stay?
