AaronJB Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Near Strip South is a different area than the South Strip, and the detail page for the HOTWIRE listing offers a map of the zone. This property would likely be the South Point.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
veronica86 Posted December 23, 2010 Author Report Posted December 23, 2010 thank you for your reply! south point would be too far for us.4 Star Deluxe Hotel, Las Vegas Strip North Area 4 Star- through priceline. ( i never used priceline before so i'm not sure how it works, i'm guessing i offer a price and they either accept it or deny it?)do you know what hotels would qualify for this area so i can get an idea of what i could book?
AaronJB Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 The list of PRICELINE properties reported to the board (there may be others not yet reported) in Vegas can be found in the Priceline Hotel List. With PRICELINE, you bid for a particular star rating and zone, and you can possibly get any of the hotels at that star rating (or possibly a higher rating, if you are upgraded, which happens infrequently.) There is no way to ensure a particular property or raise the odds of getting a particular property. What would be your desired max budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
veronica86 Posted December 24, 2010 Author Report Posted December 24, 2010 Hi,i tried several combinations and it seems like nothing works.. i went up to $110 per night ( 3 and 3 1/2 stars) and still nothing...i tried to call them to see if they even have anything available around the strip but i couldn't get anyone on the line.any advice.. ? prices are going up i see :)
thereuare Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 I assume you're going for CES... one of the largest Las Vegas trade shows of the year, with expected attendance of 126K people, which drives up hotel rates (although not as much as it did 10+ years ago). Alternately, perhaps you're there for the Adult Entertainment Expo... which will add another 30K people on top of an already busy Vegas. Either way you're looking at 150K people converging onto Vegas this week, and as most attendees likely already have their rooms for this trip, there isn't too much left on the strip available at a discount. Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
