cbhotelshopping Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 We are looking to stay in the Nashville Opryland area Dec.20-22; 2 adults 1 child, flexible on cost, and amenities;3 star or better. We think we will get the Hyatt Place and have read contradicting reviews for this property. Has anyone stayed here and how was the stay? What are the other hotels like in the area? We could stay in other areas but will be spending most of our time at Opryland seeing the holiday lights, Snow and Ice. Thanks for any advice anyone has. :)
thereuare Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! You can see the hotels which have been reported to the board in this area in the Hotwire Hotel List. However, this would be a bit backwards way of doing things, as there are many hotels in the zone, but only one hotel at each star level in each zone will be shown on a given search. I'd sooner suggest doing a HOTWIRE search for your dates and occupancy... then try to take a guess as to what is being offered and determine if it's a good deal and would work for your plans this trip.Let us know what you find on a current HOTWIRE search and if we can help you guess and/or confirm what you believe you're being offered. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. AaronJB Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 I would suggest not giving tripadvisor reviews too much weight unless they discuss serious issues and/or are consistently poor. Otherwise, many hotels get inconsistent reviews; pricing that can vary considerably (even from day-to-day) likely creates differing expectations (I've been in quite a few hotels where I thought they were fantastic for a discounted HOTWIRE rate, but I wouldn't be so pleased if I'd paid $150-200+) and different hotel styles may appeal to some people and not others. The Hyatt Place Opryland gets 4/5 on tripadvisor, which is certainly above average. If you are a party of 3, I would definitely suggest HOTWIRE and not PRICELINE, as HOTWIRE can allow one to indicate the amount of people in the party, whereas PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
