Priceline Hotel: Key West 12/26 - 12/27...help

Hi everyone,

I tried Priceline for 4 and 3.5 and even 3* in key west...went as high as $155 but no luck.

Anyone has any ideas how much would it cost for those dates?

I paid $115 plus fees and taxes for Crowne Plaza Key West La Concha (12/19/10 - 12/20/10) just a few days ago.

Through bidding. I also used $40 priceline rewards so net cost is $75. :-D

Are you bidding up to your limit for a 4* first, then if rejected bidding up to your limit for a 3.5*, then if rejected up to your limit for a 3*... OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay?

I started my bid for 4* for Key West with $155 ...rejected

Select 3.5* & increased bid to $160...rejected

Selected 3* & increased bid to $165...rejected

Stopped to reconsider if I really want to spend more than $200 on a hotel.

You can definitely improve upon your bidding strategy, but first you need to decide if you're willing to pay more than a $165 bid for this stay.

2 things to try---

1- try resort. i'm not sure if PRICELINE upgrades to resort from 4*

2- split up the nights- i had to do that when i was down there.

I ended up winning a bid for the Hyatt (great place) for $100
