Priceline Hotel: 3* Cape Cod (Hyannis-Yarmouth-Dennis) Radisson Inn Hyannis

Again, not much on the board for this area at this time of year.

First bid of $65 was accepted for the Radisson Inn Hyannis.

Used the PRICELINE link to make my purchase.

** Question - I was told at check-in that the room was a smoking room. I asked if I could be put in a non-smoking room but they told me it would be a $20 charge. I declined and took the smoking room. Now that I am in the room, the smoke smell is pretty strong and I am thinking that my luggage is going to smell for the rest of the trip. Is there any way to get a non-smoking room when you book?

Unfortunately there is no way to guarantee a non-smoking room when using PRICELINE... most hotels are willing to accommodate your request when such a room is available, but it's not guaranteed. If a non-smoking room is a need (vs. a want) then HOTWIRE may still be an option as you could purchase one of the offerings there which shows the Smoke-Free icon.

It's not clear if the $20 upcharge was for the same room class OR if perhaps all the non-smoking rooms were filled and to accommodate your request they would have needed to bump you up to the next room class (if the former i think it's bad practice... if the latter i think it's completely understandable). HOWEVER, in going to the hotel's website they list this location as "100% non smoking facility" so i'm curious why they have any smoking rooms at all.

PS- can you please confirm the dates of your stay... your topic title lists it as 12/13-12/14 but as you mention you have already checked-in i'm thinking perhaps it should be 12/12-12/13??

Sorry thereuare, I am in a different hotel. I'm in the Holiday Inn Westbury-Long Island. I was very tired when I got here and I guess I neglected to add that to my post. Trust me, I wish this was a 100% non-smoking facility. I was on the road and had someone else book the room I am currently in.

I am going to be at the Radisson Inn tonight and that was the hotel that I posted.
