Canes98 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 After unsuccessfully bidding up to $50 for a 2
ufjoe21 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 We don't have many stays in this area, it's good to add this to the database. Nice. :)
thereuare Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Actually this hotel is already in the database (see, we're bigger than you thought)That's not to say that your post is any less appreciated, as seeing prices and repeat acceptances also adds to knowing how frequently hotels come up. I actually have family in the area and we stay with them whenever we visit, but i do like the area a LOT... i'm sure much attributed to the family we visit being very laid back and excellent hosts.Enjoy your stay and hope your European trip went smoothly.PS- while in Tallahassee you may want to keep your Cane affection to yourself :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

Canes98 Posted April 11, 2005 Author Report Posted April 11, 2005 Well I did not get to Tallahassee until 1 a.m. the night of my checkin (thanks to a tire blowout on I 10). Sure enough, the type of room I requested when I called Friday early afternoon was available at that late hour. Also, my first name does start with a D, so sounds like runNgun does have connections at the Holiday Inn Northwest Tallahassee. For anyone bidding Tallahassee, for what it's worth, the sheet I signed at check in actually had the price that Priceline paid listed. Priceline was charged $40 a night, the same amount as my winning bid. So, if my assumptions are correct, Priceline's only profit on this bid was the service charge, and I could not have gotten this hotel for a cheaper price. As for Tallahassee, yes it is a nice place, and I agree with thereuare that it is a likeable place. It really doesn't deserve the nickname of "Trailerhassee" that us Hurricane fans have given it.
runNgun Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 just dont expect that rate on 9/4/05 and 9/5/05.
