BillsFan Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 Hello,I've seen a few posts for the Grand Hyatt Hotel in this area on this day for 135 but when I tried this, my bid was rejected. Could this be because I'm trying to book on a weekend and rates are increased when booking for a weekend? I saw someone booked this hotel as recently as 2 days ago for the same day and for $135 dollars but I had no luck with it. Should I wait until Monday/Tuesday and try again or just give in and raise my bid to $150?Thanks for the help, I'll be sure to use the link above! Thanks,BillsFan
thereuare Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!Few possibilities... both of the wins at $135 which included the nite above were for 2 nite stays, it's possible the hotel is only offering this deeply discounted rate for a minimum of 2+ nite stays and not for the solo nite alone. It's also possible that the hotel has become more booked since the other users have won and have increased the rate for this nite which they are offering to the opaque suppliers. If i were to take a guess i think that rates have likely increased since the other user(s) won at $135/nite.Have you only bid the MTE zone or have you included all the others you mention in your topic title? (MTW,MTE,CPS,Hell's Kitchen, Times Square) Is $150 your maximum bid? Is there a reason you're not including ESB in your bidding?Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
