yellowrabbit Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Listed the following amenities:Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access SpaTripAdvisor says 4/5, Hotwire 85%. Not listed as customer favorite. I'm guessing Hilton Financial, unless there's a new one. Any confirmation would be great.BTW, great site

yellowrabbit Posted December 10, 2010 Author Report Posted December 10, 2010 The dates are from 12/11 to 12/17, and pricing came out to $133/nt. Not great, but better than the other pricing out there. Plus my grandmother (who I'm getting this for) wants to stay closer to Chinatown, so if it's the Hilton, that would be ideal. Thanks again for the help.
thereuare Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 The amenities above match the Hilton Financial District so that would be my best guess for this one, HOWEVER, with one caveat...This HOTWIRE offering shows a Tripadvisor rating of 4.0/5.0 whereas the current TA rating of the Hilton Financial is 3.5/5.0. This does put a shadow of doubt into the ID, but the inconsistency doesn't exclude it from being the Hilton as the TA info shown by HOTWIRE is not updated in real-time... only about once a month. So it's possible that the TA rating of this property has changed from 4.0 to 3.5 since it was last updated by HOTWIRE.Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to "look behind the curtain". If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. yellowrabbit Posted December 10, 2010 Author Report Posted December 10, 2010 I figured that the Hilton might be the only possibility, with the spa feature. It does look like they're open on those dates, so I'll give it a shot for one night and go from there. Thank you very much.

yellowrabbit Posted December 11, 2010 Author Report Posted December 11, 2010 Turned out to be Hilton Financial District. As mentioned before, a bit pricey for that spot, but when you have 10K conventioneers descend upon the city, I guess that's what one has to deal with. How do I edit the title to include the name of the hotel? Thanks again. Glad to have found this community, and will leave feedback on my own 'hits'.
thereuare Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and this will work out well for your grandmother's needs. Did you purchase all 6 nites of this stay or just one solo nite? We''ll edit the topic title to reflect your purchase... i've entered your dates as the complete stay of 12/11 to 12/17 but if you purchased just a subset of this date range let ud know and we'll edit the topic title accordingly.Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
